Croatia to edge out Belgium in veterans' battle
Morocco, Croatia, and Belgium go into the final game of Group F at the 2022 World Cup looking to advance to the last 16 of the tournament. The first two of the trio have four points each, with the Atlas Liona facing an already eliminated Canada outfit armed with the knowledge that even a draw would be sufficient. Meanwhile, the other pair face each other at the Al-Rayyan Stadium, where only a win for Roberto Martínez's underperforming side will stop a humiliating early exit from becoming reality. Kram school
After falling behind to the quickest goal at the tournament so far, Zlatko Dalić's men picked off the Maple Leafs slowly but surely after dominating the midfield area and always looking dangerous on the attack. Andrej Kramarić doesn't have an especially good record at major tournaments, but the striker did his confidence the world of good by grabbing a well-timed brace. Though unlikely to outpace even the opposition's ageing backline, he should have plenty of opportunities to increase his tally as his teammates look to play intricately between the lines.
We need to talk about Kevin
Alongside big rumours of discontent in the camp, both displays thus far have been well below par by their own lofty standards. Fortunate in more ways than one to edge Canada, they were then deservedly beaten by Morocco in the second game, looking bereft of ideas and leadership on and off the pitch. Kevin De Bruyne, whilst far from the only individual looking like a shadow of his usual self, has been particularly poor. He and his unhappy colleagues will need to do far better to avoid the plane home at this juncture. Youri Tielemans is set to come in for the suspended Amadou Onana.
Betting tip
betway have odds of 2.62 for a Croatia triumph that would put simultaneously put Belgium out and ought to be enough to top the pool.
