Tilting Arsenal to lose again at Chelsea's hands
Another important London derby in the Premier League takes place at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night. Chelsea successfully navigated a difficult FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace to set up a second domestic final against Liverpool this term, and given their games in hand over others, look to have third in the table all sewn up. The Gunners have lost four from their last five, and only a swift reversal will revive their Champions League dreams. Read our preview here:
Alonso's formula
Wembley showdown with the Reds in May aside, their European exit last week to Real Madrid has put the focus firmly back on a strong finish to the league campaign. Mateo Kovačić's injury sustained in the win over the Eagles could mean a starting place for Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Whilst never a regular under Thomas Tuchel or indeed any previous head coach, he has been an important squad player. On the left flank, Marcos Alonso is performing well as Ben Chillwell's stand-in, linking up well with the attack and his own runs to the far post.
Stun-Lok
Thomas Partey is once again injured, so Mikel Arteta will have to continue to look elsewhere for a decent double pivot combination in his absence. Granit Xhaka is currently blowing more cold than hot, which is a phenomenon that could be applied to many of his teammates at the time of writing. Albert Sambi Lokonga could continue to be his partner, and they'll be up against it from the off, particularly in tracking Mason Mount's movements off the ball. Equally, fans will be sincerely hoping Alexandre Lacazette is back to lead the line. They looked toothless without him during the 1-0 defeat at Southampton last weekend.
Betting tip
There are definitely signs of big promise in the Arsenal squad, though they are lacking in two or three areas even if they had a full complement available for their short trip to Chelsea. The hosts' roster is stronger across the piece, and, with the luxury of being able to rotate more, they should be fresher for Wednesday night. Parimatch have odds of 3.00 for the home side to be winning at both half and full-time.
