Frustrating draw will do Chelsea no favours
Graham Potter will be targeting a first win as Chelsea head coach in the UEFA Champions League to follow up the late success he had at the weekend in the Premier League away to Crystal Palace. AC Milan will be of a different order when they come to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening, even with a number of injuries in their squad. Read our preview here:
Aub-urs well
Though not the long-term solution to the Blues' perennial striker problem, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a highly experienced and effective forward when tasked with remaining as close to the opposition penalty area as possible, just as he showed on his domestic bow at the weekend. Conor Gallagher, who also netted in that game, could be rewarded with a rare start in Europe as a result, particularly with N'Golo Kanté still on the sidelines.
Charles' coronation
I Rossoneri are unbeaten in the pool and sit on top with four points from their opening two matches thus far, though Stefano Pioli has some big unwelcome selection headaches ahead of the third encounter. The likes of Mike Miagnan, Theo Hernandez, Divock Origi, Alessandro Florenzi, and the evergreen Zlatan Ibrahimović are all unavailable, whilst there are big doubts over three more players. The highly coveted Portuguese attacker Rafael Leão will be fit, and whilst Charles De Ketelaere has had an underwhelming start to life in Italy, the Belgian youngster will get another huge opportunity to impress in front of an expectant audience.
Betting tip
Casumo have odds of 3.85 for a draw that will likely keep Chelsea bottom of Group E.
