Tuchel to claim first trophy with Chelsea
Chelsea take part in their fourth FA Cup final in five years this Saturday, favourites this time around against Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City. They have lost two of the last three finals, and so will be desperate to win their first trophy under Thomas Tuchel. The Foxes will enjoy the underdogs tag but also be ready to forget their 4-2 loss at home to Newcastle United last time out. City travel to Old Trafford where Chelsea host Arsenal in midweek, Leicester’s match is more important as they need to pick up if they are to finish in the top four. Rodgers may have to prioritise to race for the Champions League or the FA Cup final.
Route to the final
After missing out on the Premier League’s top four on the last day of the 2019/20 season, Leicester have much better squad depth now and that has been a huge factor in another good campaign. They too juggled Europa League competition with league form very well before being knocked out by Slavia Prague and reaching this final demonstrates the progress they have made as a club in recent years, after a tricky couple of seasons following their unbelievable Premier League title win. The Foxes have beaten Stoke City, Brentford, Brighton, Manchester United and Southampton all quite comfortably on the way, missing out on top four and losing this final would be a gut wrencher, but they still deserve a lot of credit.
Chelsea have beaten Morecambe, Luton Town, Barnsley, Sheffield United and Manchester City to reach this stage, kinder than the pathway of the Foxes. Despite coming into the match in better form than Leicester they are an odds against punt to win in 90 minutes, with their odds shortening significantly to lift the trophy, so the outright angle looks a sensible selection.
Goals?
Finals can be tight, managers often looking to profit from the fine margins. An unders shout looks more likely.

Chelsea are the pick here, one of the best sides on the planet at the moment.
