Tricky matchup for the Red Devils
Brighton & Hove Albion welcome Manchester United to the Amex stadium on Saturday afternoon during the Prems gameweek 3.
Brighton
The Seagulls endured a tough start to the season when they lost to Chelsea with 3-1 in the opener but followed that up with an emphatic 3-0 at Newcastle.
Very impressive win
The game against Chelsea was always going to be a tough one, not many people expected Brighton to come away with anything so the defeat won't feel too bad. However, the 3-0 victory against Newcastle was a different story as the Seagulls absolutely dominated all throughout the 90 minutes.
Graham Potter and his men now come up against another top side but face them at the best possible time given all the circumstances at play.
Manchester United
The Red Devils kicked the season off with an absolutely horrid display at home against Crystal Palace which they lost with 3-1. The performance was a far cry from what we had become accustomed to during the end of last season and is also quite worrying due to the fact that they basically played their best XI.
Not the best nor longest of preparations
It is still obviously very early in the season and given how short their "preseason" was a few shaky starts are to be expected but the defeat showcased a few problems that United have known about for a while, one of which being the simple fact that their defence is subpar.
Underperforming defence
If the defence, more specifically their centre-back pairing of Lindelöf and Maguire do not improve rather drastically these coming weeks, United will end up leaking a ridiculous amount of goals that could potentially derail their bid for a first prem title since 2011.
