Goals at both ends
Tottenham travel to midtable Bournemouth inbetween their Champions League fixtures and will definitely be keeping an eye on it. Will the Cherries take advantage of Spurs tough schedule or will Tottenham secure a top 4 spot?
Tottenham
Pochettino’s men suffered a frustrating 0-1 loss at home to Ajax on Tuesday after having lost to West Ham the game before putting them in a precarious position. The dilemma Spurs find themselves in is a troublesome one due to a few injuries and the fact that they have to rotate in order to be as fresh as possible before Wednesdays deciding semi-final leg.
Another worrisome fact is that Tottenham have an atrocious away record having lost 8 of their last 9 games on the road and have not actually won an away trip since their 1-2 triumph over Fulham back in January so there is definitely reason to worry against a competent Bournemouth side.
One positive aspect is that main man Heung Min-Son is back after having missed the Ajax game through suspension, the South Korean has scored 4 goals and provided 1 assist in Spur’s last 7 games and has in recent times been absolutely pivotal.
Notable absentees
Kane, Vertonghen, Lamela, Aurier and Winks.
Bournemouth
The Cherries currently find themselves at a mediocre 14th place which is highly dissapointing after their very positive start to the season. Eddie Howe’s men have only won 2 of their last 12 games in the PL but are despite that quite lethal going forward having scored 13 goals in their last 7 games which bodes very badly for a shakey spurs defence.
Callum wilson and Joshua King are Bournemouth’s main men having scored 14 and 11 goals respectively which is not bad at all given their current table situation.
Due to Tottenham’s tough schedule and the fact that they have to rotate in order to rest players before Wednesday’s Cl game this fixture could not have come at a better time for Bournemouth.
Notable absentees
Surman, Gosling, Stanislas, Cook, Daniels and Diego Rico.
Betting tip
Due to Tottenham’s horrible away form and the fact that they have to rotate i will be backing Both teams to score at 27/50 with Bethard.
