City to ensure top spot with a game to spare
Manchester City have already qualified for the knockout phase of the UEFA Champions League, but can seal top spot when Erling Haaland returns to his old haunt when they face Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday evening. Read our preview here:
Vision for the Brandt
A draw in front of a partisan home crowd will be sufficient for Edin Terzić's side to join their opponents in the last 16 once the competition resumes in the New Year. At the weekend, they smashed Stuttgart 5-0 in the Bundesliga to make both their position and goal difference far more respectable. BVB are missing six first team players, but Julien Brandt will be ably assisted by Jude Bellingham from deeper in midfield to rove between the lines.
Akan do it!
Pep Guardiola could rotate his XI heavily with passage already assured, with John Stones possibly making Tuesday his return from injury. Manuel Akanji could start at right-back, ensuring three defenders keeping watch as the others press high up the pitch. Only Kyle Walker and Kalvin Phillips are certain to be unavailable.
Betting tip
Casumo have odds of 2.50 for a City win with Dortmund also getting on the scoresheet.
