The North London derby returns to television screens on Sunday afternoon, and few fans or pundits would've expected the two sides contesting it to be in 10th and seventh respectively as late as March in the Premier League season. Arsenal have only lost one of their last seven matches (to leaders Manchester City) in all competitions, and came away from a tough trip against Olympiacos with a 3-1 victory to take back to the Emirates. Meanwhile, Spurs have also rallied from their own nadir of late, winning five on the trot and scoring four in three of those fixtures. They look the better placed side to get the bragging rights this weekend, too. Read our preview here:

Smartin' Martin

The man of the match during the Gunners' eventual triumph in Greece was undoubtedly Martin Ødegaard. It's been a slow start to life in England for the Real Madrid loanee, but the 22 year old showed what he was capable of on Thursday night, scoring the opener with an unstoppable shot outside the area and generally asserting himself on the game in the hole behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Mikel Arteta will be demanding more of the same against their hated rivals, and it will be up to the Norwegian international to get beyond the double pivot employed by the visitors to disrupt their counterattacking strategy. With only Emile Smith Rowe a doubt for the clash, it will be intriguing to see how much rotation is done on the XI that started three days prior. Ødegaard should retain his spot, however, and a big impression in this vital match would go a long way to endearing himself to his temporary side.

A Baleful, please!

Gareth Bale, also on loan from the Spanish giants, has finally started to look somewhat like the player of old, racking up six goals and four assists from his last seven outings. In turn, this has taken some of the pressure off the Heung-min Son-Harry Kane partnership, and given the opposition more players to be really concerned about from a defensive point of view. Although he didn't add to that tally in the routine 2-0 victory over Dinamo Zagreb, the Welsh forward has always enjoyed a reputation of being up for and starring in the big games, and not many will come bigger than this in the remainder of the campaign. Kieran Tierney has had a solid year as Arsenal's left-sided defender of choice, but will have his hands full trying to track Bale's runs off the ball.

Yes way, Jose

Though Kane was seen sporting an ice pack after being substituted on Thursday night, Jose Mourinho was quick to dismiss any injury fears. Assuming that wasn't simply a bit of psychology from the Portuguese head coach, another goal-filled game isn't out of the question, akin to the 2-2 scoreline at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Neither defence, especially Arsenal's, are free of costly individual errors, and the talent is mostly concentrated in offensive areas. Spurs have looked more clinical of late, so odds of 2.80 for them to keep their hopes of European qualification through the league alive by winning with Betfair appear more than decent.
