Two teams in desperate need of a win
Arsenal welcome Burnley to the Emirates on Sunday with both teams rather desperate for a win after torrid runs of form. Will either of Arteta or Dyche receive a little respite or will it end in a stalemate?
Arsenal
The Gunners have not won a league game in 4 outings leaving them at an abysmal 15th place, only 2 spots above relegation. Furthermore, critique towards Arteta has been mounting and the feeling is, if Arsenal do not start performing and climbing the table soon, the Spaniard could be in trouble.
Troubling times
The main issue in their recent defeats is not only the fact that they have lost, but that they have deserved to lose as well, conjuring up absolutely horrible performances. The attack have nothing resembling any creativity whatsoever and the defence, bar new signing Gabriel, has been weak and leaky.
Arsenal have however been performing admirably in the Europa League, although, the issue is that it cannot be remotely compared to the intensity and difficulty of the Prem. One of the few things Arsenal can currently be happy about is that they now face a truly weak Burnley side and have the possibility of turning their season around.
Burnley
The Clarets currently sit at 18th after scraping together a measly 6 points, it must however be said that 5 of those points have been won in their last 4 games but they are, nonetheless, pretty bad.
Can they finally beat Arsenal?
Sean Dyche's men have improved as of late, in large thanks to the shrinking injury-list, but they are still far from where they need to be which is recurringly evident whenever they face the top sides; their 5-0 and 3-0 defeats to Manchester City and Chelsea respectively being my point and case.
They now come up against an Arsenal side who are not performing as they should making this an interesting matchup to say the least.
Betting tip
Arsenal have their issues but are by far the better side and should take this one, which is why i will be backing Arsenal to win at 1.53 with Betway.
