Juventus vs. AC Milan Preview
The Supercoppa final will be shrouded in controversy this year after the decision to move it to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. It's not the first time it's been played abroad with the US, China, Libya and Qatar hosting it previously. But considering the recent international incidents involving the Gulf state the decision has evoked a strong reaction amongst a number of leading Italian politicians. Italian politics and Italian football go hand in hand and neither are strangers to controversy, so it looks like the game will go ahead.
Both teams will head into this match high on confidence having won both their games either side of the winter break. AC Milan are currently fifth in Serie A, whilst Juventus is of course, first.
Mandzukic will be unavailable for the Old Lady, so it looks like Douglas Costa will start on the left side of their attack. Higuaín is expected to start for Milan, despite reports linking him to a January move to Chelsea. Suso is suspended, but Cutrone's brace against Sampdoria will give Milan fans some hope up front.
Juventus are strong favourites for this match. Milan have really struggled to score of late and have drawn three of their last seven matches 0-0. Juventus on the other have scored in every game they have played in so far this season.
