Wales to get qualifier back on track?
Wales welcome Azerbaijan to Cardiff City Stadium on Friday night with both teams in dire need of 3 points. Can the Azerbaijani's shake off the travel fatigue and shock the welshmen or will Gareth Bale and co. take them one step closer to the Euro's?
Wales
Giggsy's men kicked off their qualification campaign with a win at home against Slovakia but followed that up with two straight away defeats against Croatia, which is understandable and at Hungary, where they were actually the better side.
What was clearly on display throughout all three games was that Wales are defensively sound, they are not easy to get at and don't conceded a lot of goals. They do however have issues on the other side of the pitch regarding their goal-scoring due to the fact that they don't actually play with a real forward.
Despite their goalscoring deficit issues they have been dangerous, how can they not be with Gareth Bale on the pitch so at the end of the day i do believe that they will sooner or later bang a few in.
A home game against Azerbaijan is the perfect opportunity to get their qualifying campaign back on track.
Azerbaijan
Nikola Jurcevic's men are rockbottom in group E and have zero points after 3 games. The Azerbaijani's have been outclassed in every aspect and really, plain and simple, seem to be way out of their depth here.
The one thing they had going for them was that teams travelling to their home ground had an absolutely gruelling travel itinerary and would be suffering from jet lag and what not but not even this could stop Azerbaijan from being outclassed and defeated on their home turf.
This leads to the obvious question of how it will go when they themselves are forced to travel that very same distance and play against a team of a much higher calibre? Probably not very well.
Wales vs. Azerbaijan Betting tip
This can honestly only go one way, and that is a Welsh win which is why i will be backing Wales to win and keep a clean sheet at 16/25 with Bethard.
