The Eagles of Frankfurt continue their ascent
VfB Stuttgart will play Eintracht Frankfurt at the Mercedes-Benz arena on Friday. Frankfurt have won three matches in a row and have shown fantastic goal-scoring form recently. Stuttgart are currently bottom of the table, with five points from nine matches. Eintracht Frankfurt met Nurnberg yesterday in a surprise 1-1 draw. By all accounts it was not a great performance by Frankfurt, with a draw being a fair result, however, I feel this will have worked in this bets favour, as the odds on on a Frankfurt win improved slightly after the result.
VfB Stuttgart
Stuttgart have begun this season in catastrophic fashion. It's so been so bad in fact that they've already sacked Korkut and replaced him with Weinzieri. Unfortunately, their new manager has not had any better luck than his predecessor having lost all his three matches at the helm with a goal difference of 1-11. Stuttgart have scored 0.5 goals and conceded 2 goals per home game which is pretty much in line with their expected goals. Not only are they shipping in goals but they also lack any spark in the final third. Mario Gomez is not the player he once was but he hasn't had much support from his attacking partner Nicolas Gonzalez either. In the last match Stuttgart lost 4-0 away to Hoffenheim, in a match were all their weaknesses came to the fore. A clumsy goalie, a dodgy defence and a hopeless offence. Stuttgart have also suffered from a series of injuries and suspensions, which give them even less chance against Frankfurt on Friday. They will miss the suspended Insua in particular.

Eintracht Frankfurt
The Eagles from Frankfurt were hardly soaring as the 2018/2019 Bundesliga got under way, but now they're starting to show a little more form. Before their draw against Nurnberg yesterday they had won three matches in a row. They have a 14-4 goal tally from their past four matches. They have also demonstrated their away form this season picking up wins against Hoffenheim and Marseille. Frankfurt have one of the leagues most exciting players in Luka Jovic, who scored five goals in their last match against Dusseldorf. In fact, their whole attack is exciting with Rebic, Haller, Guzman and Jovic. There are guaranteed goals in this squad and I find it difficult to see anything but a goal-fest on Friday against Stuttgart. They are slightly over-performing according to their expected goals but that is normal when you have attackers that need only a few chances to score. 1.50 goals scored and 1.75 conceeded per away game this season, which is worse than it sounds when you consider that they've faced the unstoppable Borussia Dortmund already this season. Still, they are much better stats than Stuttgart. Frankfurt have a number of injuries, but they should still be able to start with their desired starting XI assuming that their goalkeeper Trapp can shake off his niggle.

Betting tip
Eintracht Frankfurt have come alive over the past month. They now have 14-4 goal difference and ten points over the past four matches. And now they are going to meet the team at the bottom of the league. I believe it will be tough for Stuttgart, and there is a real chance that this could turn into a disaster for them. I am going to bet on Eintracht Frankfurt to win this match at odds of 29/20.
