The Milan train rumbles on
Udinese welcome AC Milan to the Stadio Friuli on Sunday afternoon during Serie A's gameweek 6. High-flying Milan are the current top dogs whilst Udinese find themselves in the relegation zone. Can Udinese turn their fortunes around of will Milan solidify their lead?
Udinese
I Friulani have endured a very rough start to the 20/21 season amassing a lowly 3 points from their first 5 games which were courtesy of a 3-2 win against Parma a couple of weeks ago.
The fact that they are 3rd last at the moment does not really reflect their performances though, all defeats bar one were by a single goal and whats more is that Udinese have consistently been the better performing team.
Offensive draught
Their issue lies in their inability of scoring despite having multiple clearcut opportunities, i suspect that it will get going sooner or later but if they do not start performing soon, they could be looking at a potential relegation scrap come the end of the season.
They now face the best performing side in the league and if they are to avoid yet another defeat, they must get their attack sorted.
Milan
The Rossoneri have so far looked the real deal, their attack is performing far better than i believed they would prior to the seasons start and their defence has also been sublime. Their goal-difference of 12-4 in 5 games is testament to this.
Impressive streak
Stefano Pioli's men have now gone 23(!) games without suffering a defeat and the streak looks set to continue given the moderately easy fixtures on the horizon.
Benjamin Button
Zlatan leads the leagues goalscoring charts with 6 goals in 3 games, the Swede is in magnificent form at the moment and performing as if it were 2012 again (his last stint in Milan), if he keeps this up, Milan can definitely snatch the Scudetto in a season where Juve are rebuilding and Inter are at times somewhat unreliable, given ofcourse that Zlatan can avoid injury.
With the way Milan have been playing i see no reason why their streak cannot or will not continue on Sunday.
Betting tip
Milan have looked fierce, both at home and away which is why i will be backing a Milan win at 1.77 with Betway.
