Inter to get back on track?
Udinese welcome Inter to the Stadio Friuli on Sunday in Italy's Serie A. Both teams are looking to exit their slumps in form but for different differences, Inter to catch up to Juventus and Udinese to add some space between them and the relegation spots.
Udinese
The team from Udine have lost three on the bounce which initially sounds pretty worrying until you realise that all three were away games and were against the likes of Juventus, Milan and Parma meaning that it is not as bad as it sounds.
Decent home form buoying Udinese
The hosts have however been solid on home turf racking up five wins, two draws and three defeats leaving them as high as 8th in the home table. They have also gone five home games without defeat further showing their resilience at the Stadio Friuli.
Strong going forward
Another interesting fact is that Udinese have managed to score in every game bar one outside of the bottom three meaning that they really do offer some offensive fire power when in the mood.
Hard time keeping clean sheets
However, a worrying aspect is that Udinese have conceded in every game against opposition within the top seven and given that Inter are Serie A's best away side there is definitely cause for concern here.
Inter
The Nerazzurri broke their two game draw streak in a narrow win against Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia courtesy of a Nicolo Barella goal in the 67th minute which was warmly welcomed due to Inter avoiding another 30 minutes of extra game time which is always a mentally and physically challenging addition to an already packed schedule.
Desperate to keep up with Juve
Inter will definitely be looking to get their season back on track after a few disappointing draws which has seen rivals Juventus pull three points clear in the race for the Scudetto.
Lethal going forward
An absolutely outstanding statistic is that Inter have managed to score a goal in a whopping 100% of their away trips and in 95% of their overall games. The issue is however that they have been leaking goals as of late, which naturally leads to unwanted points dropped.
The Eriksen effect?
An interesting aspect to keep an eye on is how the acquisition of Eriksen will impact this Inter side, his delivery for Spurs during the last six or odd years has at times been sublime. The thought of his pinpoint delivery to the likes of Lukaku and Martinez will definitely put shivers through the spines of their opponents and with Christian pushing for a first start, his reign in Italy could very well start here.
Betting tip
Its a somewhat bold bet this time around but i definitely feel it is warranted. I will be backing Both teams to score and Inter to win at the outstanding odds of 5/2 with Betway.
