Torino a firm test for the Old Lady
After midweek success in the Champions League Juventus travel to a Torino side who have enjoyed an impressive start to the season. Massimiliano Allegri’s men have made a slow start domestically so it was a much needed win in midweek to begin some momentum. Torino have not had any midweek excursions and therefore could come into the matchup a lot fresher than the visitors. Josip Brekalo arrived from Wolfsburg in the summer and the Croatian has hit the ground running on Italian soil, a new threat for the Old Lady to contend with on Saturday evening.
Process
Despite sitting tenth in the table, Juve actually rank in fourth place in terms of expected goals (xG) and have been the subject of some fine finishing to have conceded 10 goals from 7.8 xG. The Bull have scored in every league game so far this term and will be optimistic about Juve arriving a little half-cooked from their European venture.
Torino have the second best defensive process in the division, allowing just 4.9 xGA in six outings, mightily impressive and form that will have them away from any kind of relegation conversation this term, unlike some recent ones. Andrea Belotti and Simone Zaza are likely to miss the encounter through injury with Antonio Sanabria leading the line, such that paid dividends with Brekalo getting on the scoresheet in a 1-1 draw at newly promoted Venezia last time out.
Goals?
It is a goals reliant selection I am going to plump for in this fixture with the hosts so clinical of late and Juve tired from their CL duties.
- Torino have scored in six of six.
- Torino have conceded in four of six.
- Torino have seen both teams score in four of six.
- Torino have seen over 2.5 goals in three of six.
- Juve have scored in seven of eight.
- Juve have conceded in six of eight.
- Juve have seen both teams score in five of eight.
- Juve have seen over 2.5 goals in five of eight.
The Old Lady have conceded four in their last two league games against Sampdoria and Spezia respectively. Torino have the attacking talent to cause them problems, Juve are backable for the outright win but I cannot trust themat in form Torino after a difficult start in the league.

First goal did not come until the 86th minute so this one did not go to plan. 1-0 Juve.
