Time to back Colombia
The fact that England are stand out favourites in their match against Colombia has pushed the odds quite high for Colombia to win. I know it’s cheeky considering the feeling in England right now, but with odds at over 4 times the money, it would be silly not to put a bet on Colombia.
A lot depends on whether James Rodriguez plays, but regardless of if he starts or not, you have to take this one on. If James starts you can guarantee the odds will sink. If he doesn’t play, it’s likely the odds will stay fairly similar, and I think that the market is banking on him being on the bench.
I’m counting on there being a fairly open match between two offensively minded sides who generally remain unshaken in tight spots. I’m really looking forward to seeing the duel between Yerry Mina and John Stones on the corners. I’m thinking Mina will win at least one of those battles.
With odds like these it would be silly not to have a punt on Colombia. Odds of 13/4 (4.25) have got my bet.
