The wolf against the bull
The Serie A is finally back! Roma are set to entertain Torino at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday with the chance of cementing their fourth place whilst Torino will be attempting to string together a decent run of form after a disappointing end to the first half of the season.
Roma
The Giallorossi are deadset on returning to the Champions League having missed out last season and so far so good.
Have they found their man?
Paulo Fonseca has done a fantastic job since taking over earlier this year and Roma finally seem to have found their man. Fonseca's lads have won 10, drawn 5 and lost 2 games so far leaving with a total tally of 35 points, only 7 behind leaders Inter.
Strong at the Olimpico
As mentioned up above, Roma have only lost twice this season which is mightily impressive and things on their home ground look even better. The Giallorossi are currently on a four game win-streak and have not lost a game at the Olimpico since September and have furthermore managed to score a hefty 17 goals in 8 games.
Things are looking up for the team from the eternal city and i have strong inhibitions that Torino will be able to change that.
Torino
Il Toro are having a rough, rough season so far and are not where they envisioned they would be five months ago.
Worryingly underwhelming
Walter Mazzarri's men have managed a bleak 6 wins, 3 draws and 8 defeats so far which leaves them at an unsatisfactory and outright boring 10th place. Whenever it looks like they have turned a corner and start performing at their level they seem to relax and lose all momentum which has led to multiple defeats against rockbottom opposition.
Leaking defence
A trip to the capital is definitely not what a doctor would prescribe at this time of hardship especially due to the fact that they have so far shipped 14 goals in 8 away games.
Torino have a much easier schedule after this Roma fixture where they will have the chance to save their season but claiming anything at the Olimpico is, at the moment, too tall of an order.
Betting tip
Roma have impressed whilst Torino have not. Both teams have been involved in some high-scoring games which is why i will be backing a Roma win and Over 2.5 goals at 21/20 with Betway.
