Trouble in the capital
Roma welcome Bologna to the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Friday evening in Italy's Serie A. Roma are looking to pull themselves out of the rut of form that has engulfed them since the start of 2020 whilst Bologna will be looking to build on a positive run of form.
Roma
Paulo Fonseca's men have endured a torrid start to 2020 resulting in a solitary win, a draw and three defeats which has pushed them out of the top four and thus out of the Champions League spots.
Underwhelming at home
The Giallorossi's home form has been particularly poor, so disappointingly so that their away form is better than at the Olimpico which will certainly be irritating a few Roma fans here and there.
Worrying goal difference
A rather worrying statistic is Roma's home turf goal-difference of 20-16, thats 16 goals conceded by a side desperate to feature in next years Champions League setup. It is simply not good enough.
Topping it all off is the fact that the only player capable of providing assists, Lorenzo Pellegrini, is suspended making the situation all the more dire.
Bologna
Sinisa Mihajlovic's men have really found their footing after a very rough start to the season having amassed four wins in their last seven along with two draws and a defeat pushing them up to a solid 11th place.
Dangerous in front of goal
Bologna can be found at 9th in the away-form table having scored a healthy 17 goals in 11 outings but have conceded the less healthy amount of 18 goals which is obviously problematic in the points department.
Dangerous on the road
La Dotta have managed to score in all away games except three which will have them in high spirits before a trip to the capital and a leaky Roma side.
This is the perfect time to play against an injured Roma side at the Olimpico meaning that the Bologna faithful should be carefully optimistic about travelling back home with a point or three.
Betting tip
Roma score goals but also concede them by the bucketload. Along with the fact that Bologna are very capable in front of goal leads me to one conclusion, Over 2.5 goals at 1/2 with Betway.
