Poland to pulverize their next opponents
Does the extreme gulf in quality between these two sides mean that Poland will clinch their second win in Group G or will Latvia shock the footballing world? Most probably the former.
Poland
The poles were always going to have a tough run of things in a Uefa nations league group containing Portugal and Italy so those games might not be worth looking into too much. However, the disappointment of crashing out of Group A in the UNL was never too bad due to the fact that they were drawn into what probably is the weakest Euro qualifying group containing North Macedonia, Slovenia, Israel, Austria and Sundays opponents Latvia. Poland were off to a fine start on Thursday when they beat main rivals Austria 0-1 away from home showing why they are currently considered one of the worlds best national teams. To be fair though, with a squad containing players like Lewandowski, Zielinski, Piatek, Szczesny anything other than competing at the absolute highest level would be embarrassing.
Latvia
European minnows Latvia are ranked as Europes 8th worst team and it honestly shows, they were outclassed by North Macedonia and haven't won a game in 9 outings. Most of their players ply their trade in Latvias highest division and after a few google searches i found out that 4 of their best players play in Holland's second division as well as in Switzerland but only have 16 appearances altogether this season. Logic says that if Latvia have no chance against North Macedonia, they will have no chance against Poland.
Betting tips
As mentioned in the header the gulf in quality between the two sides is immense which is why i am backing a Poland (-2) handicap win at 4/5 with Betway.
