It’s important we take these numbers with a pinch of salt though as the Aussies met teams like Tajikistan, where they smashed them 7-0. In the second round they faced better opposition and as expected the stats are much lower.
It’s good to note that Australia are coming into the tournament with a new coach in Bert van Marwijk and could punish France with their potential to shift tactics and formations throughout the match.

I think that people don't put enough faith in their being plenty of goals in this match which I think will be the case. France are going to score at least two goals here and it's not unlikely Australia will find the net as well.
