I Partenopei out for revenge
Napoli welcome newcomers Brescia to Naples on Sunday during the 6th round of Italy's Serie A. The pair of them will have revenge on their minds after the both of them lost their midweek games during the last round but which team will get back to winning ways?
Napoli
Carlo Ancelotti will have been fuming after his teams extremely clumsy 0-1 defeat to Cagliari at home forfeiting precious ground in their hunt for the Scudetto. They were, to be fair, totally outclassing Cagliari in every department but the ball would not go in and it just turned out to be one of those days. Cagliari had one shot on goal and won not because they were good but because Napoli were clumsy.
I Partenopei have otherwise been very good so far and i would not read into that defeat too much as it really was a one-off where the ball was being a pr*ck. Napoli had scored 13 goals in the 4 games prior to that one and are absolutely lethal going forward with the likes of Insigne, Mertens, Lozano and Callejon on the pitch. Very short but very lethal.
This is the perfect game to bounce back on as Brescia have struggled against better sides and i fully expect the team from Naples to outclass Brescia.
Brescia
Balotelli and co. started the seaosn brightly with an away win against Cagliari followed up by 2 losses, another win and most recently another defeat. 2 of those defeats came against Juventus and Milan which is to be expected though so Brescia have in fact started the season quite brightly.
Both of Brescia's victories came away from home which will give them additional confidence but they will also take comfort in the fact that Napoli are far from invincible which could be seen against Cagliari, one chance is perhaps all they need.
If they do only get one chance its a good thing they have super Mario on top, he debuted against Juventus during the last round and made a good impression. Another hugely positive fact for both Balotelli and Brescia as a whole is that Napoli will be missing their centre-half behemoth in Koulibaly, they are simply not the same team without him meaning that more opportunities will arise than usual.
Betting tip
I believe that Napoli's defeat against Cagliari was a mere hiccup and they will get back to winning ways against new boys Brescia which is why i will be backing a Napoli (-1) handicap win at 3/5 with Bethard.
