On the fringes of Euopre
Montenegro welcome Azerbaijan to the capital of Podgorica during the Uefa Nations League group stage for group C1. Montenegro have so far won both of their games leaving them alone on top whilst Azerbaijan have 3 points after a win and a loss. Can Montenegro seal the deal with their 3rd win or will the Azerbaijani's spoil the party?
Montenegro
The Montenegrins are by no means a good team, they are ranked 55 out of the 60 nation teams in Europe and they basically only have a chance when playing against the bottom 20 or so which does not lead to healthy statistics.
A prevalent theme is however that their games against their fellow bottom-dwellers are way more often than not very low-scoring affairs. All 7 of their last games against teams within the bottom 20 have all produced less than 2.5 goals.
Azerbaijan
The Azerbaijani's can be found at a surprisingly high 26th place in Uefa's rankings due to their ability of beating the lowest ranked teams on a regular basis. However, like Montenegro, Azerbaijan have nearly a non-existant chance of beating the higher ranked teams due to just not being good enough.
Another thing they have in common is the fact that due to their lack of fire power, Azerbaijan's games are usually also low-scoring affairs with 5 of their last 6 ending with under 3.5 goals.
Betting tip
Due to both teams lack of fire power i will be backing Under 2.5 goals at the odds of 1.75 with Betway.
