Survival Sunday for Sabadell?
La Liga 2 draws to a close this weekend and the most exciting matches involve those battling it out at the foot of the table. Espanyol and Mallorca have booked their automatic promotions spots and will be playing in the topflight once again next season, with three of the four playoff places already decided. Leganes, Almeria and Girona all sit on 70 points and are preparing for the promotion tournament with Rayo Vallecano in sixth still under threat from Sporting Gijon in seventh. The bottom four face relegation in the 22 team league and there is plenty to play for. Alcorcon and Lugo have their noses above the parapet but need to take care of their own business to ensure safety, while Logrones, Sabadell and Castellon can still execute a last gasp escape.
Background
A draw could see Sabadell survive but is unlikely to have a realistic chance of escaping; they must win at Mirandes. Though having said that, they could take all three points and still be relegated. They are one point and two places from safety with one to go and they have a favourable match against ninth placed Mirandes who have nothing to play for. Sabadell have been up and down in recent weeks but managed to pull together and end a run of three straight defeats with a 2-0 victory over eighth placed Ponferradina, where a loss would have seen their fate confirmed.
The others in the equation have tougher opponents, Alcorcon host Espanyol who need a result to be crowned champions, Lugo travel to playoff chasing Rayo Vallecano, out of form Logrones host tenth placed Las Palmas and Castellon must beat 15th placed Malaga to have any chance.
Goals?
It will be nervy for Sabadell and Mirandes certainly have the ability to cause them problems. It could become very open.
- Mirandes have scored in six of ten.
- Mirandes have conceded in seven of ten.
- Mirandes have seen both teams score in five of ten.
- Mirandes have seen over 2.5 goals in three of ten.
- Sabadell have scored in eight of ten.

- Sabadell have seen both teams score in five of ten.
- Sabadell have seen over 2.5 goals in four of ten.
It is crunch time, in the aftermath of the Champions League and EFL playoff finals, La Liga 2 can take centre stage with this enthralling dog fight.

Sabadell did themselves proud but were relegated despite a 2-0 win. A frustrating end to the week.
