Derby della Madonnina
Associazione Calcio Milan and Football Club Internazionale Milano. One of footballs biggest rivalries and naturally, one of the biggest games of the year. Need i say more?
Milan
Gennaro Gattuso and his men must surely be enjoying themselves at the moment seeing that they are currently on a 5 game winning streak and a 9 game run without a loss which leaves them 3rd in the Serie A. Krzysztof Piatek has been a revelation, since his arrival he has scored 6 goals in 7 games for the Rossoneri as well as having scored 13 goals in 19 games prior to his arrival at Milan. He looks very much like the hitman they have been lacking for years and since his arrival everything seems to be falling into place. Worth mentioning is that Milan's defence has been rock solid this season having only conceded 23 goals, 4th lowest in the league. But can they keep this positive trend going against their bitter rivals?
Notable Absentees
Romagnoli, Zapata and Bonaventura.
Internazionale
Inter are not having the best of times crashing out of the Europa league as well as having produced a few under-par performances ending with very disappointing results against teams they should honestly have beaten with ease. But, despite recent happenings, Inter still remain on the important 4th meaning Champions League next season. One of the biggest contributors to the slump in form is former captain Mauro Icardi who is very much persona non grata at the moment having refused to play since being stripped of his captaincy. without the renegade striker on the field Inter have become somewhat blunt in attack and the numbers show just that, Inter have only scored 13 goals in their last 13 games without Mauro and have really struggled to break teams down without the argentines presence. Despite these recent woes Inter's defence has, like Milans, been rock solid this season having only shipped 22 goals, 3rd lowest in the league. Can the blue and blacks leapfrog their city rivals or will Milan hold onto their 3rd place?
Notable Absentees
Nainggolan, Miranda, Vrsaljko and badboy Icardi.
Betting tips
Given both teams solid defending i'm backing under 2.5 goals at 3/5 with Bethard.
Other bets that look very promising are Milan 1/X double chance or Both teams to score, no.
