Harmonious Man Utd to win the first leg
The Champions League is back and we can now look ahead to the exciting knock-out stage of this prestigious tournament. First we have Manchester United and their match against injury ridden PSG.
When the draw was made there wasn't many of us who were backing the Red Devils over two legs. But since then a lot has happened including the inevitable sacking of Mourinho, and now Man Utd are looking like their old selves again. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Man Utd have come in like a wrecking ball so far, winning ten of their eleven games under the Norwegian. The only blemish on his record, a 2-2 draw against Burnley.
Five last matches for Man Utd:
- Fulham – Man United 0-3
- Leicester – Man United 0-1
- Man United – Burnley 2-2
- Arsenal – Man United 1-3 (FA Cup)
- Man United – Brighton 2-1
PSG travel to Old Trafford without a couple of big names. On the injury list is Neymar, Cavani and Thomas Meunier. There is some good news in that Marco Veratti looks like he has been cleared to play, but he hasn't played regularly over the past few months and so he might not be match fit.
Five last matches for PSG:
- PSG – Bordeaux 1-0
- Villefranche – PSG 0-3 (went to extra time)
- Lyon – PSG 2-1
- PSG – Rennes 4-1
- PSG – Strasbourg 2-0
United are looking good at the moment, so good in fact that I see them winning the first leg. Solid with Unibet at odds of 27/20.
