Malmö's home advantage too much
Swedish powerhouse Malmö welcome NK Domzale to Swedbank Stadion during the second leg of their Europa League qualification campaign. The first leg ended in a 2-2 draw meaning that this leg, despite Malmö having the upper hand is still wide open.
Malmö
The team from Skåne are sitting pretty at the top of the pile in the Swedish Allsvenskan and are on course to securing yet another domestic title, they do however face stiff competition from rivals AIK but that is a story for another time.
Malmö boast a very strong home record with 7 wins and 2 draws from domestic play and are yet to record a single defeat regarding all competitions, friendlies included, which is highly impressive.
The reason for Malmö's dominance is simple. Money talks. Due to featuring in the Champions league and Europa League multiple times over the last few years has led to the ridiculous growth of their coffers leaving all other teams in the league choking the dust. And naturally, money leads to better players which is why Malmö hold a very high standard and is definitely not an easy place to travel to.
All in all Malmö fans will feel very optimistic about their chances of advancing to the next round.
NK Domžale
The Slovenians travel to Sweden after quite a disappointing 2-2 result during the first leg which is quite problematic, simply put, if they do not score AND win they will not advance.
A big source of worry is that they can currently be found in last place in their domestic league, albeit after 2 games but are nonetheless winless. They have also conceded 6 goals in those 2 games which will have Malmö licking their lips.
I wont lie or pretend that i know a lot about Domžale but from what i have found through looking at statistics and reading up on them and also comparing their results prior to this Malmö game along with the statistics from the first leg my conclusion is that they will have a very hard time on Thursday evening.
Betting tip
As touched upon above i have a very hard time seeing the Slovenians travel to Sweden and returning with anything but a loss which is why i will be backing a Malmö (-1) handicap win at 19/20 with Bethard.
