Juventus to turn things up?

Newly crowned Super Cup champions Juventus welcome Bologna to Allianz Stadium during Serie A's matchday 19. Juventus will be desperate to stay within touching distance of top dogs Milan and Inter whilst Bologna will be wary of putting more space between themselves and the relegation scrap.

Juventus

I bianconeri have, by their own standards, been too inconsistent this season mixing distinct victories, like against Milan, with embarrassing defeats, like against Fiorentina. This inconsistency is ultimately the reason why Juve sit 5th, a position they are not exactly used to occupying.

Time to step it up

On further inspection, la vecchia signora's inconsistency is not as bad as it sounds given that the reigning champions have only lost two games. However, on the other hand, Juve have so far drawn six games of which three were against bottom half of the table teams, points which could eventually prove vital come the end of the season.

Bologna are, at a minimum, as good as the three bottom half teams that managed draws to Juventus but it seems as if Juve have found their form having managed victories in five of their last six games. With both Ronaldo in form as well as the team in good spirits after the Super Cup win, expect Juve to come out firing.

Bologna

La dotta can be currently found at 12th which is not good, but not catastrophic either. They are six points above the relegation zone but thirteen behind 6th meaning they find themselves in no mans land but then again, that is in all honesty where they belong.

Bang average

Sinisa Mihajlovic's men have so far mustered five wins, five draws and 8 defeats whilst scoring twenty four and conceding thirty one in the process. In other words, a bang average performance thus far, which accurately justifies their position in the table.

However, a worrying aspect Bolgona will have in the back of their minds before they travel to Turin is that they have only won one game in their last nine outings, not a good stat to have when going up against the likes of Juventus.

Betting tip

Juve's attack has not exactly been lighting it up this season but they are still very dangerous nonetheless which is why i will be backing a Juventus (-1) handicap win at 2.00 with Betway.
