Isloch vs Slavia - it should be a cracker
Two sides that have shown huge potential in the early running meet on Sunday when Isloch play host to Slavia Mozyr. Will either of these two team be able to challenge for an unlikely title this season? Have a read of our preview here:
Isloch need to bounce back
After starting the campaign with back-to-back wins, Isloch have now lost their previous two leaving them looking slightly less confident than they perhaps were following the early impressive displays.
Heading to Dinamo Brest last weekend, they were expected to give the current champions a good game and took the lead in the first half through Dmitri Komarovskiy. This was to be a false dawn, however, and when Gaby Kiki netted the equaliser deep in first half stoppage time, the momentum of the match swayed and Isloch lost their foothold.
They now need a big performance against Slavia this weekend and certainly carry a threat having scored in every match so far this season. It should be a decent game.
Slavia Mozyr love a big match
So far this season Slavia Mozyr have played 15-time champions BATE Borisov twice and current Premier League title holders Dinamo Brest once.
They have won all of them. The most recent was a 1-0 victory in the Belarusian cup against BATE last Wednesday where some atrocious defending from visitors allowed Slavia to score the only goal of the game, much to the delight of the sparse crowd watching.
They had already beaten the Europa League regulars in the league this season, 2-1 back on matchday two of the campaign and made light work a week later of title holders Dinamo Brest in an impressive away victory.
Nikita Melnikov is a talented player who has already created several chances across the opening rounds. He is ably supported by Ghanaian star Francis Narh, who leads the side in completed key passes (5) this season.
Vladislav Zhuk is a tenacious tackler who adds bite to the midfield in a side who look like they could be a contender this season.
Isloch v Slavia Mozyr betting tip
There have been some impressive displays from both these sides already this season despite it still being early in the campaign. This match should be a really good contest and one which could see a few goals. With that in mind, we are backing both teams to score at even odds with Betfair.
