Heavyweight clash at the San Siro
Inter welcome Juventus to the Giuseppe Meazza in the Copa Italia semifinals first leg. The two giants face off in the Derby d'italia after great runs of form, leaving expectations sky-high for both fans and neutrals alike.
Football Club Internazionale Milano
I Nerazzurri have only lost one in their last sixteen games, a run which spans back to the end of October and includes a recent 2-0 win against Tuesdays opposition at the same venue. During this period, Inter have managed to score 38 whilst only conceding 15, stats really proving how good they have actually been.
Furthermore, Antonio Conte's men have won seven straight games at the San Siro and will be pleased to begin the semifinals on home turf.
Incredible depth
Inter have ridiculous cover on all parts of the pitch including the likes of Perisic, Eriksen, and Sanchez who usually come in off the bench. This depth is one of the reasons Inter have managed to cope so well with the packed schedule and will also be the reason why Inter will be the main contenders for the Scudetto.
Juventus F.C.
La Vecchia signora are going through a "learning year" with Pirlo at the helm, an aspect that is sometimes hard to spot given how well Juve have performed at times. Pirlo's men have only lost two games in league play all season whilst winning 11 and drawing 6 whilst managing a goal difference of 39-18.
Missed opportunities
The six draws is what is ultimately holding Juventus back; had the Old Lady been more clinical against the likes of Benevento, Hellas Verona, and Crotone, all teams they drew against, they would be up at 2nd place.
The loss of points could be attributed to brief lapses of concentration and perhaps some complacency, but these lapses were more common during the first half of the season. It can therefor be argued that Juve have evolved passed that and managed to gel together over the season, however, Tuesday's game will be a good indicator against arguably the best team in the league. Also, they probably want revenge as well.
Betting tip
Inter have been incredibly strong at the San Siro and bested Juve there only two weeks ago which is why i will be backing an Inter win at 2.37 with Betway.
