Derby della Madonnina
Inter Milan and A.C. Milan clash at the mighty San Siro on Saturday evening in the the seasons first Derby della Madonnina. Both teams have started their respective seasons well and can be found at 2nd and 5th with only 2 points separating them.
Inter
Conte's men have kicked the season off with wins against Fiorentina (4-3), Benevento (2-5) and a draw against Lazio (1-1) in ridiculously entertaining games. The main point that has been made so far is that Inter are every bit as lethal going forward as they were last season.
Lethal going forward
Both Lukaku and Martinez have 3 goals a piece carrying on from where they left off last season whilst the return of Perisic will add a much needed new dimension on the wing. Inter have, despite some shaky defending looked absolutely fantastic so far and i do not see why that cannot continue here.
With Juventus finding themselves in a transitional year of sorts this could very well be Inter's year.
Milan
The Rossoneri have been dominant thus far winning all 3 of their opening games against Bologna (2-0), Crotone (0-2) and Spezia (3-0). They are effective going forward and resolute at the back, something that has not really been the case in recent years.
The lion has returned
The return of Zlatan has been massive, both on and off the pitch. The Swede scored 2 goals in the opener against Bologna but contracted Covid 19 shortly after and missed the following victories. However, the prolific striker has recovered and is available to face Inter which is a huge boost.
This is Milans first major challenge of the season and it will be, at a bare minimum, very interesting to see how this plays out due to the exciting but young and inexperienced Rossoneri's squad.
Betting tip
Whilst derby's tend to be low-scoring affairs, the form both teams are in leads me to believe that their might be a few goals in this which is why i will be backing Both teams to score at 1.57 with Betway.
