The Inter train rumbles on
Internazionale Milano welcome Parma to the Giuseppe Meazza during Serie A's 10th round. Inter are coming off the back of a resounding 2-0 win against Dortmund whilst Parma recently demolished Genoa with 5-1 at their home ground. With both teams in good spirits this game looks to be an exciting one but who will come out on top?
Inter
Conte's men showed their worth against Dortmund and deservedly ran out 2-0 winners limiting their German opponents to a measly 2 shots on goal. They could have bagged a couple more had it not been for some tame finishing including a missed penalty a la Lautaro Martinez.
So far so good
Things are looking bright in the league as well with the Milanese currently sat at 2nd, 4 points above 3rd placed Atalanta and only a single point behind leaders Juventus.
Strong going forward and solid at the back
The Nerazzurri have scored 18 goals (2nd highest) in 9 games and have only conceded 7 (joint 2nd lowest) which is extremely healthy, furthermore, 3 of those 7 goals came last weekend when they beat Sassuolo with 4-3 meaning that they had only conceded 4 goals in 8 games prior to that. Brick wall.
Inter is a very hard nut to crack, they have only conceded 2 goals at home and both came against Juventus further illustrating my point that they are very, very hard to break down.
Parma
The Parmigiani have exceeded expectations and can currently be found at 8th with 12 points to their name.
Exciting squad
They really showcased their talent last weekend when they absolutely demolished Genoa 5-1 with Swedish youngster Dejan Kulusevski bagging 2 assists and a goal whilst Danish forward Andreas Cornelius came off the bench and scored a hat-trick.
Parma's problem is however that they are poor on the road where they have a victory and 2 defeats in their 3 outings so far. The victory came against a very weak Udinese side during round two meaning that not too much should be read into it and one of the defeats came away at Lazio which is nearly a given.
Poor travellers
An indicator that they are far worse on the road was their 0-1 defeat against SPAL where Parma were horrendous and could barely create anything despite playing with an extra man for over 20 minutes.
This is definitely a bad omen before playing what is arguably the hardest away game of the season and if they are to snatch anything from Inter they will need to significantly up their game.
Betting tip
Inter have been colossus at home and i expect that to continue despite their tough schedule so i will be backing Inter to win and clean sheet at 21/20 with Bethard.
