Über important group F clash
Internazionale Milano welcome Borussia Dortmund to the mighty Giuseppe Meazza in yet another Champions League night under its glorious lights. This is a must-win game for the Italian's if they are to have a realistic chance at progressing from the group while Dortmund are in need of a victory if they are to beat Barcelona to the top spot. A fitting venue for a game of this calibre.
Inter
Antonio Conte's men will be pleased by the fact that they got back to winning ways away at Sassuolo (4-3) but might perhaps not be as pleased by the fact that they nearly threw away a 2 goal lead. However, a win is a win and they ultimately got the job done, away from home nonetheless.
Time to perform
I've praised Inter on multiple occasions this season due to the fact that i thoroughly enjoy watching them play but also because they have simply done it well. They've been rock-solid in domestic play bar their unlucky defeat to Juventus and it is high time they bring that form to the Champions League, they have proved their quality but it is time they prove they have the fortitude.
In-form duo
A huge boost for the Milan team is that attacking duo Lukaku and Martinez are currently on fire and have a combined tally of 9 goals in 8 outings. Both players increased their haul with 2 goals each against Sassuolo and will be high on confidence come Wednesday.
Nearing crunch time
The Nerazzurri are entering do or die territory and are acutely aware of the fact that if they fail to go get bed with all 3 points, their Champions League venture will be greatly jeopardised.
However, with the passionate Conte at the helm expect them to fight to their last breath.
Dortmund
Lucien Favre's men put out an impressive showing against league-leaders Mönchengladbach and ran out 1-0 victors leaving them only a point shy of 1st place.
Tough game awaits
Away games are not usually an easy affair, away games at the San Siro under Champions Leagues bright lights is definitely no exception. This is especially true if your away form is lacking and your joint highest scorer is out injured (Paco Alcacer).
Strategically important game
BVB currently top the group after having amassed 4 points in 2 games (above Barcelona on goal-difference) and know that if they are to top the group and advance with better prospects of playing against easier opposition come the playoffs they will need all 3 points, especially with an away game at Barcelona looming.
This is likely to be a tight and difficult affair but if Dortmund manage to perform as they did against Barcelona as well as recently against Slavia Praha the Milanese will have a tough time.
Betting tip
Both teams have impressed going forward which is why i will be backing Both teams to score at 31/50 with Bethard.
