Penalty to make the difference for Uruguay
In nearly everyone of our World Cup matches there has either been a penalty or a contentious decision surrounding a penalty shout. I don’t reckon that this match will be an exception and that’s why I’m having a punt on Uruguay scoring a goal from the penalty spot.
Uruguay will be running the show
If we take a look back to Saudi Arabia’s first match against Russia, it’s not at all impossible that their defence will make a slip up in this match. There was a combination of a lack of communication, bad timing and generally looking quite overwhelmed. Saudi’s goalkeeper Abdullah al-Mayouf doesn’t look like a safe bet in between the sticks either. Bearing all that in mind everything is set up for fresh mistakes against a better team with strong attackers in their ranks.
Uruguay will be running the show which isn’t surprising considering they’re a capable and quick thinking side. That’s why the Saudi backline are going to find it extremely difficult. Luis Suarez is a specialist at going down in the box, not to mention difficult to stop anyway.
It won’t be surprising if someone leaves a stray leg out
The Uruguayans play a game where they try to push the ball up to their forwards at every opportunity and it won’t be at all surprising if someone leaves a stray leg out leading to a penalty.
My bet on this match is that Uruguay will score from a penalty and Suarez or Cavani are most likely to step up to the plate. With odds at 7/2 (4.50) with LeoVegas it’s a great opportunity to win some cash for minimal stakes.
