Milan to extend lead?
League leaders Milan travel to relegation contenders Genoa on Wednesday during Serie A's matchday 12. Will Milan consolidate their lead or will Genoa gain some much needed points?
Genoa
Il Grifone have not been having a good time of things seeing how they currently find themselves on a 10 game winless streak. To reiterate, they have not won since the opening day.
Tough schedule but bad nonetheless
Rolando Maran's men can be found at 19th place with the goal difference of 10-22, the leagues second worst. However, in their defence, they have now faced nearly all of the teams in the top half of the table so all is not lost as of yet.
Although, the less than ideal fact is that they now face a Milan side in superb form meaning that their stay in the relegation zone will drag on.
Milan
The Rossoneri have been absolutely flying ever since the start of the season and have amassed 8 wins and 3 defeats leaving them top of the table, 3 points above second placed Inter. Their goal difference of 25-11 is joint second best in the league and there are no signs of their productivity reducing, even with Zlatan out injured.
Benjamin Button
Speaking of Ibra, the swede has been officially cleared for participation on Wednesday giving a huge boost to Milan in their bid for a first Scudetto since the 2010/11 season. Despite his tender age of 39, Zlatan has managed to score 10 goals in only 6 starts proving he is still the best striker in Italy.
Milan have been fantastic and with the return of Zlatan they seem unstoppable, could this be their year?
Betting tip
Genoa have been atrocious whilst Milan have been the total opposite which is why i will be backing a Milan win and over 1.5 goals at 1.61 with Betway.
