Crotone provide low hanging fruit on Saturday
Rock bottom side Crotone have been playing with plenty of freedom in recent weeks, with their fate looking all but sealed to return to Serie B and goals have been flying in at both ends as a result. Bologna have had an up and down season but seem to be on the cusp of a positive run, Sinisa Mihajlovic’s men are 11 points above the drop and boast an exciting squad. The Red and Blues have a nice blend of youth and experience, making them a good watch, a side capable of putting a run to secure a top half finish this season. They are value favourites at just above evens.
Process
Crotone are ranked inside the bottom two in both boxes, the expected goals figures are not good reading but as a team who are seven points from safety they are playing a stress free brand of attacking football. The Pythagoreans have scored 30 goals from 26.2 expected and conceded 67 from 53.4, by far and away the most open rearguard in Serie A. Musa Barrow will fancy his chances of wreaking havoc come Saturday.
Bologna sit 10th in the expected goals standings, a minimum season finish they should be aiming for. They have scored 36 from 35.5 expected and conceded 42 from 44.9 expected goals, so a sustainable mid table process, but one they can build upon and end the season strongly.
Goals?
Over three goals at odds against on the Asian Goal Line looks tempting but I do not feel confident in siding with goals coming from the 20th placed side. So an outright play is more preferable, but it would not be a surprise to see this one contain four goals or more.
- Crotone have scored in six of 10.
- Crotone have conceded in 10 of 10, and all of their last 15.
- Crotone have seen both teams score in six of 10.
- Crotone have seen over 2.5 goals in nine of 10.
- Bologna have scored in eight of 10.
- Bologna have conceded in seven of 10.
- Bologna have seen both teams score in five of 10.
- Bologna have seen over 2.5 goals in four of 10.
Not the obvious one that jumps out but for entertainment value and an outright play, this match appeals. Bologna have the tools to push up the league and jostle with Sassuolo and Hellas Verona for the title of the best of the rest league.
