Open the floodgates at the Camp Nou
The highly anticipated return leg at the Camp Nou between Barcelona and Manchester United is approaching fast. I’m in no doubt who’s dominating the match.
In form and on fire
Barça basically have the league wrapped up already with quite a bit to go. That showed on the weekend after starting their B-team in the league against Huesca, which ended goalless.
Aside from that Barcelona, the real Barcelona have been in monstrous form as of late. You can say what you want about United pushing forward and regaining possession but Barcelona knew what to do. The fact that they didn’t allow United a single shot on goal says it all.
Early doors for United
Now it’s the return leg United need to win it, but to put it simply I just don’t think they have enough to go to Camp Nou to get the job done. It may even be a case of Barcelona finishing up this one early and it would be surprisingly if they were in front at the half.
Worrying signs
United emerge from their three points against West Ham at the weekend which was important for their top four ambitions, let alone their title ambitions. Let’s be honest here, it’s not exactly looking peachy is it.
Two penalties were what it took to separate United from their London opponents on Saturday evening, but it should be raising alarm bells that West Ham were allowed to create so many opportunities in front of goal.
Betting tip
Away to Barcelona United will have even more to contend with. If they really go for it, we might just see what they’re made of, but at the same time it they could seriously be punished.
I’m betting on Barcelona to finish both halves on top (Barcelona HT/FT) at odds of 21/20 (2.05)
