Its Zlatan time
Milan welcome Udinese to the Giuseppe Meazza on Sunday afternoon in search of a third straight win whilst fellow northern Italian's Udinese are looking for a fourth consecutive league win. Only a point separates the pair and a win will get them within striking distance of the European qualification spots but who will emerge victorious?
Milan
The arrival of king Zlatan Ibrahimovic has certainly got Milan looking like a new side, a rejuvenation the new manager Stefano Pioli has not been successful in conjuring up since taking reign.
Impressive turnaround
Impressive wins to nil away at Cagliari in the league and SPAL at home in the cup certainly look to be the start of something new, a mid-season revival of sorts. They were very unlucky against Sampdoria too, having missed an enormous amount of guilt-edged chances throughout the game meaning that Milan might be hitting form at a crucial time.
Time to step it up
Milan are currently ten points behind Atalanta and the last Champions League spot and are fully aware of the fact that if they do not start performing, catching up to La Dea will be impossible.
Luckily for the Rossoneri, a lot is going right for them at the moment. The arrival of Zlatan, a newly found vigor and a very fortunate fixtures list all play a role in this revival, the fans will just be hoping it is a long lasting one.
Udinese
I Friulani have also found solid form coming into this big fixture and will be beaming from the fact that they have managed to string together consecutive victories for the first time this season.
Issues on the road
However, a troubling aspect for coach Luca Gotti and co. is their rather abysmal away form of two victories, a draw and six defeats with both wins coming against bottom of the table teams.
Not much, if anything at all, speaks for Udinese regarding away fixtures seeing how they are Serie A's third worst away side and have shipped 18 goals in 9 away days.
Not much else to say
Udinese have recently had a good run of things but that is more than likely to end here given the calibre of their opposition, anything else would be a shock indeed.
Betting tip
Milan are looking dangerous at the minute and Udinese are horrible away from home which is why i will be backing Milan to win at the surprisingly high odds of 11/20 with Betway.
