Hodgson-ball to handle goal-shy Wolves
Wolverhampton Wanderers host Watford on Thursday evening, hoping to put their 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace from the weekend behind them.
The Hornets are at serious risk of being relegated from the Premier League in their season since bouncing back from the Championship last term.
Roy Hodgson has made them look a little more defensively solid and they were unfortunate to concede some excellent goals in a 3-2 loss to Arsenal at the weekend.
Watford are three points from safety but have played more than the two teams immediately above them, they certainly need to take something from their two matches on the road this week.
Process
Wolves have overperformed to concede just 23 from 39.3 expected goals (xG) this season with Jose Sa enjoying an outstanding first season at Molineux.
It is very unlikely that the hosts continue to be so wateright for the rest of the season and they did afford a lot of chances to Palace at the weekend.
Watford have been narrowly better in the final third than Wolves, it does appear that attack is the best form of the defence with the squad at their disposal.
However, that is not how Hodgson operates and therefore it is going to be interesting to see if he can find the right balance in the coming months.
If he does that, then they will be relegated without much of a fight.
Wolves will look to go back to being hard to beat and should be able to limit Watford to few high quality chances.
The Hornets have struggled to keep clean sheets all season and Wolves will be hungry to make amends for the weekend in front of the home faithful.
Goals?
Unders look to be the angle here, Hodgson will be conservative on the road and Wolves have struggled to look convincing in attack.
Wolves have scored in six of ten.
Wolves have conceded in eight of ten.
Wolves have seen both teams score in four of ten.
Wolves have seen over 2.5 goals in five of ten.
Watford have scored in five of ten.

Watford have seen both teams score in four of ten.
Watford have seen over 2.5 goals in four of ten.
Watford will look to keep it tight against the goal-shy Wolves and that suits a goals angle with some value on the Asian Goal Line.
