Celtic Hungary for a win against Ferencvaros
Slow start for Celtic
Ange Postecoglou's side haven't had the easiest of times in what is a very high standard Group G of the Europa League. The early pacesetters are Real Betis and Bayer Leverkusen, so Celtic will need to do the double over Ferencvaros to try and catch the leading two sides. The first part of this double was completed at Celtic Park, with a 2-0 win seeing the hosts get their first three points of their European campaign. Goals from Kyogo Furuhashi and David Turnbull saw Postecoglou's men secure the win, and a win in Budapest is pretty much a necessity. Celtic were held to a 0-0 draw at the weekend against a struggling Livingston outfit, despite having 85% possession in the game (a reversed result somewhat reminiscent of Celtic's famous win at the Camp Nou despite having 13% possession).
The hosts have a fading glimmer of hope
Ferencvaros need nothing short of three points on Thursday evening to have even a slither of a chance of making the knockouts. Despite making it to the Champions League group stages last season, they've dropped into the Europa League losing to Young Boys in the qualification stage. They've lost to all three sides in the group, so their chances of qualifying are nearly non-existent. They can still fight for pride more than anything and have a good second half of the group stages, attempting to give a better account of themselves.
The 2-0 home win for Celtic was a dominant display, and while it won't be quite as easy away in Hungary, Celtic should have too much quality for Thursday's hosts. That's why I'm going with a Celtic win with bet365
